The company has been constantly setting new standards in safety engineering in the field of fire and explosion protection.

Herding Flameless: The clean-gas-side, flameless explosion pressure relief on the Herding filter systems is based on the flame-arresting feature Herding Flamestop. Numerous explosion tests have been demonstrated through which neither flame nor smoke occurs. This happens because of the clean-gas-side pressure relief in case of dust explosions in the filter unit.

Also, the Herding Sinter-plate filter has a sustainable effect and acts as a protection system according to Atex, adds the firm. Thus, this results in an ignition breaktrough proof explosion decoupling system.

Herding Flamebreak: The innovative property protection in the Herding filter systems is in accordance with the ISO 19353 ‘Safety of machinery - Fire prevention and fire protection’ standards, claims the company. The concept includes secure fire detection by means of a detection cable, an integrated control including signal processing as well as active firefighting by using extinguishing aerosol.

The fire protection concept is unique in its application and the configuration is suitable for fire class A, B and C and has already been accepted after consultation with relevant property insurers.
