With the expansion, the company is expected to increase its capacity by 20 %.
Koch Modular designed and manufactured 17 core process modules for Origin Materials’ first manufacturing plant (Origin 1) in Canada. Origin focuses on converting biomass to sustainable materials such as chloromethylfurfural (CMF) and it will make use of Koch Modular’s system to convert CMF into PET. The modules were installed at the plant six months ahead of schedule and will be completed by the end of next year.

Messer has developed an argon production facility in Slovakia which is based on residual gases from the ammonia synthesis process. Other industrial gases such as methane, nitrogen and syngas are also recovered at the unit. The plant includes a fully automated process and has the capability to reduce CO2 emissions by 1.4 metric tons a day at full capacity owing to its proximity to the delivery locations.
