Arkema has plans to build a new polyamide 11 powders plant at its Changshu platform in China. The facility is expected to come on stream in the first quarter of 2023 and aims to support the growing demand for advanced bio-circular materials in Asia.

Orlen Unipetrol has plans to expand its existing Litvínov steam cracker, located at the company’s production plant in Záluží, Czech Republic, by adding an 11th furnace to the project. With an investment of more than 32 million dollars, the construction of the new furnace will be based on Technip Energies’ proprietary SMK coil technology and will be commissioned in 2022.

Dow’s net-zero carbon emissions ethylene and derivatives complex is expected to more than triple the company’s ethylene and polyethylene capacity from its Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta site in Canada. The site's existing assets will be retrofitted to meet the requirements of net-zero carbon emissions (Scope 1 and 2). The project is expected to decarbonize ~20 % of the firm’s global ethylene capacity while growing polyethylene supply by ~15 %.

With an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons, the new ABS compound facility will be developed at LG Chem’s Ohio Tech Center site in the USA and is expected to meet the growing demand for high value-add ABS in the region. The company also intends to invest 100 million dollars for establishing its American and European Tech Center by 2023.
