Gas specialists Linde have received an order for a mid-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant from Petronas subsidiary Malaysia LNG. The new boil-off gas re-liquefaction facility has a maximum design capacity of 1,840 tons of LNG per day and will be located in the Bintulu LNG complex in Sarawak, East Malaysia.

The new plant is using Invista’s proprietary P7 PTA process technology along with the company’s proprietary R2R technology for production of benzoic acid as a co-product. On-Specification production was achieved on May 24, 2019.
