Versalis has begun the production of bioethanol at its Crescentino plant in Italy. The facility complies with the European legislation for the development of renewable energy RED II and makes use of the Proesa technology to produce sustainable bioethanol.
Vattenfall has inaugurated a new biofuel heat plant – Carpe Futurum in Uppsala, Sweden. With a heating capacity of 110 MW, the project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 200,000 tons per year.
