Sasol ecoft and Uniper have plans to build a large-scale sustainable aviation fuel production facility in Långsele, Sollefteå under the joint venture ‘Sky Fuel H2’. With this project, the companies aim to produce sustainable aviation fuel by making use of green hydrogen and carbon from biomass.

Air Products has plans to construct a 10 metric ton per day facility to produce green liquid hydrogen in Casa Grande, Arizona. The produced hydrogen will then be supplied to the mobility market in California as well as other places that require zero-carbon hydrogen.

Oil and gas company BP announced that it intends to invest up to $ 22.5 billion in the UK’s energy system by the end of 2030. The group wants to continue investing in North Sea oil and gas, while driving down operational emissions. BP is also in action on a range of lower carbon energy investments in the UK.

Koch Modular Process Systems will be supplying modular recycling systems to Purecycle Technologies for their second facility in Augusta, Georgia, USA. With this project, the company aims to support the global need to transform plastic waste into a renewable resource.

With Repsol becoming a shareholder in Enerkem, the Spanish company can now utilize Enerkem’s green technology in the development of its existing industrial facilities and future units. It is also collaborating with Enerkem and Agbar to establish the Ecoplanta Molecular Solutions waste recovery plant in El Morell, Spain which will utilize Enerkem's gasification technology.

Dow has acquired a minority stake in the Hanseatic Energy Hub consortium which has plans to build, own and operate a zero-carbon emission import terminal for liquified gases in Stade, Germany. Dow is contributing land for the project which is expected to offer a regasification capacity of 13.3 billion cubic metres of natural gas annually.

Under the terms of the contract, thyssenkrupp nucera will deliver two of its large-scale alkaline water electrolysis standard modules to Air Products’ 10 metric ton per day green hydrogen facility in Arizona, USA.

Siemens Energy has plans to carry out industrial-scale production of hydrogen electrolyzers in Berlin, Germany in order to boost the concept of green hydrogen. With an investment of more than 30 million dollars, the site is expected to commence production in 2023.

In line with BASF’s ambitious climate targets announced earlier, the company has now come up with a detailed action plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 25 % by 2030 and aims to reach its goal of net zero emissions globally by 2050.
