The analytical company Research and Markets has shared in its report that the growth of the global oil and gas EPC market will be owing to the significant expansion in the industry all over the world, government initiatives for generating electricity from renewable resources, technological advancements as well as the rising demand for oil and gas EPC in the upstream sector.

A consortium comprising Johnson Matthey, Bekaert and TNO aims to improve green hydrogen production by optimizing the most important components of the electrolyzer. The move is expected to support the development of next-generation electrolyzers which will lead to lower electricity consumption and assist in cheaper hydrogen production.

French gases company Air Liquide and EZZ Steel, one of the leading steel producers in the Middle East and Africa, have signed a new long term agreement for the supply of industrial gases to EZZ’s new plant in Ain Sokhna, East of Cairo, Egypt.

A consortium comprising of six firms have collaborated to develop Asia’s first green e-methanol plant. Capable of converting captured biogenic carbon dioxide and green hydrogen produced from renewable electricity into green e-methanol, the pilot plant will be established in Singapore and the low-cost fuel will be supplied to the maritime industry.

The Bacton Energy Hub project led by the UK North Sea Transition Authority is exploring the potential for a hydrogen-led energy hub in Bacton, Norfolk, UK. With this move, the project aims to offer a sustainable hydrogen supply.

World Energy’s Southern California SAF facility will be expanded to develop the world’s first commercial scale and North America’s only SAF production facility. With this project, World Energy aims to decarbonize the aviation industry.

Under the terms of the shareholders agreement, Reliance will join hands with Adnoc and ADQ in the Ta’ziz industrial chemical zone in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi for the development of a mega chemical project – Ta’ziz EDC & PVC. For this, the joint venture has plans to invest over 2 billion dollars for building a chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride and polyvinyl chloride production facility.

A joint venture has been established by Braskem and Sojitz to produce and commercialize bio-based mono-ethylene glycol which has the capacity to meet the growing market demand for sustainable and renewable products.

Under the terms of the agreement, Lummus and Braskem will focus on global licensing of commercial green ethylene technology in order to accelerate the use of bioethanol for developing chemicals and plastics. The initiative supports the carbon neutral circular economy.
