Under a long-term agreement signed between both the parties, Air Liquide will develop a new hydrogen production unit at the Grandpuits site in France. This unit will partly use biogas from Total Energies’ Grandpuits biorefinery and make use of Air Liquide’s carbon capture technology to produce renewable, low-carbon hydrogen which will be used by the biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel.

Clariant has successfully completed the 60-million-dollar acquisition which will enable the company to strengthen its technology position in the demanding markets for the purification of edible oils and renewable fuels. With this deal, the company also intends to expand its footprint in the North American market.

Mc Dermott has won a Front-End Engineering Design (Feed) contract from Viva Energy Australia. The scope of work includes providing Feed services for a new modularized production unit which will be a part of the firm’s Geelong Refinery project. The unit is expected to produce ultra-low sulfur gasoline.

Yokogawa Electric has been selected by Shell as the Main Automation Contractor for the Holland Hydrogen I plant being developed in the port of Rotterdam, Netherlands. Yokogawa will optimize operations at the plant which is expected to produce up to 60,000 kilograms of green hydrogen per day.

Orthex has plans to use Ineos Styrolution’s styrene acrylonitrile copolymer for producing storage products. The copolymers have been developed in partnership with BASF and is built on the firm’s styrene monomer derived from renewable feedstock which is based on a mass balance approach.

Borealis, Neste and MAM have developed a new soother which has been created with renewably-sourced feedstock. The rigid part of the soother is made up of renewably-sourced polypropylene from Borealis’ portfolio of circular polyolefins and is manufactured with Neste’s raw material which is made entirely from renewable raw materials.
