Grön Fuels has selected Haldor Topsoe’s H2bridge bio-hydrogen and hydroflex technology for its new multi-billion low carbon intensity complex in Louisiana, USA. Once completed, the mega facility is expected to produce 60,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel.

Air Liquide has secured a contract by Asda, one of the leading retailers in the UK for the installation and operation of six biomethane distribution stations which will be useful for refuelling trucks.

The mega project will be developed by Skovgaard Invest and supported by Vestas and Haldor Topsoe. Expected to be built in Western Jutland, Denmark, the plant will produce more than 5,000 tonnes of green ammonia from renewable power annually.

Preem’s existing Synsat plant at its Lysekil refinery in Sweden is undergoing major revamping and the company has chosen AFRY to carry out the pre-study assignment of the project in order to increase its production of renewable fuels.

Eni and Enel have plans to set up two pilot projects in order to produce green hydrogen with the help of electrolysers which are powered by renewable energy. The electrolysers are expected to be located near two of the Eni refineries.

With the takeover, Lyondell Basell and Suez will increase its plastics recycling capacity at its joint venture firm Quality Circular Polymers to approximately 55,000 tonnes per year.
