The ECB Group will use Honeywell UOP’s Ecofining process to produce renewable diesel and jet fuel at the Omega Green production facility in Villeta, Paraguay. The plant is the country’s first advanced biofuels project.

Under a Technical Collaboration Agreement signed between Total and Siemens, both the companies will jointly focus on natural gas liquefaction facilities and associated power generation in order to explore sustainable solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, MSD will purchase energy from the Armadillo Solar Center in Navarro County, Texas, USA. With this deal, Ørsted is expanding its customer base in the pharmaceutical industry. The Center is expected to be operational by 2023.

As part of the mega ‘SeaH2Land’ project, Ørsted is developing a 1 GW renewable hydrogen production facility by 2030. The project is expected to assist the Netherlands and Belgium reduce their carbon emissions in the near future.

Exxon Mobil’s Esso Renewable Racing Fuel will be tested in Porsche’s high-performance motorsports engines at the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2021. Both the companies will also partner for efuels – synthetic fuels made from hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide.

Repsol has partnered with Enerkem and Agbar under the Ecoplanta project to establish a waste to chemicals plant capable of processing around 400,000 tons of non-recyclable municipal solid waste from its surrounding regions and producing 220,000 tons of methanol.

Thyssenkrupp has signed a contract with CF Industries to deliver the mega plant in order to produce green ammonia at the Donaldsonville manufacturing complex in Louisiana, USA. The project is expected to decarbonize the world’s largest ammonia production plant.

Maire Tecnimont has secured a contract by Total Corbion PLA for carrying out Front-End Engineering Design for its 100,000 tons per annum Poly Lactic Acid plant in Grandpuits, France. The plant is claimed to be the first of its kind in Europe and is expected to be operational in 2024.

Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas corporation Pertamina has collaborated with Clariant to assess the feasibility of the latter’s sunliquid technology to convert regional feedstocks into advanced biofuels. Such kind of advanced fuel technology solutions are important to meet the growing demand of ethanol in the country.
