Impact of Coronavirus on European Ethylene Production

A quarter of European ethylene production capacity is threatened by refinery cuts in the background of the global pandemic of Covid-19, states ICIS. If the coronavirus restrictions continue, the ethylene crackers may be forced to reduce operating rates or even shut down due to their dependency on LPG feedstocks which are sourced from refineries.

Toyo Chooses Velocys’ Technology for E-Fuels Project

Toyo along with a consortium of Japanese companies have selected Velocys’ Fischer Tropsch technology for an e-fuels project. The companies have been commissioned by the Government of Japan to jointly commence a demonstration project which aims at commercialization of a sustainable aviation fuels supply chain based on carbon recycling and regional revitalization through CO2 recycling.
