Under a strategic collaboration agreement between Shell and Baker Hughes, both the companies will work together to accelerate the global energy transition by assisting each other to achieve their individual net-zero carbon emissions commitments and advancing solutions to decarbonize energy and industrial sectors.

Haldor Topsoe and Green Fuel have signed a MOU under which both the companies will jointly work together to identify efficient and scalable technologies for green ammonia production in Iceland. Green Fuel has also secured a Letter of Intent to operate at the Bakki Eco-Industrial Park in north-east Iceland.

Under a MOU signed between Shell and RWE Generation, both the companies will work together to advance projects that focus on production, use and distribution of green hydrogen. Apart from this, they will also look at other sustainable options such as CCS and blue hydrogen to decarbonise RWE’s gas and biomass-fired power plants in northwest Europe.

To support the growth of electronics and renewable energy customers at the Sama Jaya High Tech Park in Kuching, Malaysia, Linde has started up a new air separation unit (ASU) which will supply high purity nitrogen to multiple customers in the region. Air Liquide has acquired 100 % stake in H2V Normandy (now called Normand’Hy) and with this development the company aims to build a 200 MW PEM electrolyzer in Port-Jérôme, France for the production of renewable hydrogen which will be used for industrial and heavy mobility applications. The firm will connect the electrolyzer to its hydrogen pipeline network in Normandy, which will lead to the development of the world’s first low-carbon hydrogen network.

Saudi Arabia has announced that it intends to become carbon neutral by 2060 and in this background Sabic, the country’s major petrochemicals company has developed a carbon neutrality strategy under which it plans to support its global projects by supplying innovative technologies to achieve this goal.

Under an Agreement of Intent, Maire Tecnimont and Rosneft have agreed to build a new VGO (Vacuum Gas Oil) hydrocracking complex at Ryazan's refinery in Russia. The project is expected to convert heavy petroleum products into Class 5 light commercial petroleum product, thus increasing Ryazan’s refining margins.

KBR’s ammonia technology has been selected by the Acme Group for its green ammonia project in Oman. On completion, the project is expected to produce 300 metric tons per day of ammonia which will then be converted into green ammonia by using renewable energy.
