Carbios, De Smet to Develop World's First PET Biorecycling Plant

The world's first PET biorecycling plant will be built in Longlaville, France and is expected to have a processing capacity of 50,000 tons of post-consumer PET waste per year. Carbios' technology will be used for the enzymatic depolymerization of PET waste while De Smet will be in charge of project management and detailed engineering for the project.

Aramco, Enowa to Develop Innovative E-Fuel Demo Plant

Under a joint development agreement, Aramco and Enowa are aiming to develop a first-of-its-kind synthetic electro fuel e-fuel demonstration plant. The unit is expected to demonstrate technical feasibility and commercial viability by producing 35 barrels per day of low-carbon, synthetic gasoline from renewable-based hydrogen and captured CO2.
