Under the European IPCEI Hy2Infra wave, BP has secured funding for its 100 MW green hydrogen project located next to its Lingen Refinery in Germany. On completion, the project has the potential to supply green hydrogen to its refinery as well as industrial customers in the region.

Gail has successfully inaugurated its first green hydrogen production plant in Madhya Pradesh, India. The project implemented by Tecnimont in collaboration with Nextchem is expected to produce 4.3 tons per day of green hydrogen.

The first product in Sabic’s low carbon product portfolio is methanol. The methanol product offers a lower carbon content and provides the same high-quality product specifications as compared to a traditional one. It also offers CO2 footprint savings.

Claimed to become one of the largest Carbon Capture and Storage hubs globally, the project’s first phase is expected to be completed in 2027 in Jubail, Saudi Arabia and will capture and store up to 9 million metric tons of CO2 annually.

Gevo and LG Chem have decided to extend their joint development agreement under which LG Chem will assess its existing assets for deploying Gevo’s Ethanol-to-Olefins technology. With this move, the companies aim to accelerate its commercialization activities ahead of the original timeline.
