MOL Group has produced a diesel fuel containing Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil and Sustainable Aviation Fuel at the refinery of Slovnaft in Bratislava, Slovakia. Aramco has completed the acquisition of a 50 % equity interest in Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company. With this move, Air Products Qudra and Aramco will aim to accelerate industrial carbon reduction and support the growth of the hydrogen economy.

In a bid to reshape the future of textiles, chemical company Kemira and Metsä Group have partnered to develop Kuura — a next-generation, wood-based fiber aiming to provide a sustainable, European-made alternative to conventional materials like polyester and cotton.

Covestro has partnered with logistics expert DB Cargo BTT for a more efficient and sustainable transport of chemicals to and within Poland. With this initiative, the company aims to save at least 70 % of CO2 emissions compared to conventional road transport methods.

More than 1.5 million Euros were invested in reducing energy consumption at the Traun site in Austria which resulted in total savings amount to around 120 tons of CO2 per year. With this, Brenntag aims to achieve net zero Greenhouse Gas emission by 2045.
