With rising power prices in the region, Elkem has decided to temporarily shut down two of its furnaces in Thamshavn and Rana to curtail its production in Norway. During this time, the company will carry out maintenance and improvement work at its plants.

Perstorp is working on an innovative project which will assist the company to make use of wastewater from a nearby municipal treatment plant for its production operations in Stenungsund, Sweden. The project is expected to save 1.1 billion liters of fresh water annually.

Evos, Hydrogenious LOHC technologies and the Port of Amsterdam have entered into a MOU under which the partners will develop large-scale hydrogen import facilities at the Port of Amsterdam. The project will include a Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) dehydrogenation plant, which will have a capacity of up to 100-500 tonnes of hydrogen daily, as well as related storage and handling facilities.
