With the rise of investments in clean energy infrastructure, Wood has been awarded a contract to carry out feed studies for an extensive network of onshore low carbon pipelines in North America.

With the establishment of the 50:50 joint venture, Sasol and Topsoe aim to develop, build, own, and operate sustainable aviation fuel plants as well as market sustainable aviation fuels on a global scale.

The new production plant i.e. the Hydrogen Valley Rosignano project will be developed in Rosignano, Italy and intends to decarbonize Solvay’s activities in the region. The plant will have a capacity of 756 tons of green hydrogen per year and will be used for the production of peroxides on site.

Aramco and Total Energies have awarded EPC contracts for the 11 billion dollar ‘Amiral’ complex at the Satorp refinery in Saudi Arabia. The project is a future world scale petrochemicals facility expansion at the refinery and is expected to house the largest mixed-load steam cracker in the Gulf region with a capacity to produce 1.65 million tons of ethylene and other industrial gases annually.

Southern Rock Energy Partners has selected KBR to support the development of its 250,000-bpd green refinery. The unique project will be powered by solar, wind, waste heat and geothermal energy and aims to become a net zero carbon refinery.

Topsoe will lead the Frontfuel project which intends to produce highly efficient sustainable aviation fuel from carbon dioxide, water and renewable energy. The Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program has granted a fund of 3.9 million dollars for the project.

ETW Energietechnik has developed a new biomethane plant in Rittershoffen, Alsace, France. With a processing capacity of about 700 normal cubic meters of raw biogas per hour, the plant also consumes less energy.

Lummus Technology and MOL Group will work together for the chemical recycling of plastics at MOL’s assets in Hungary and Slovakia. The move is in line with the goals of both the companies of producing sustainable products to attain a circular economy.

The Middle East and North Africa region has developed certified circular polymers for the first time by converting oil derived from plastic waste. The project aims to establish a domestic value chain for the advanced recycling of plastics in Saudi Arabia.

Zhero Europe aims to develop large scale renewable energies projects in Europe and Africa in order to speed up the energy transition in high demand areas. Total Energies, Baker Hughes, Technip Energies, Azimut and other investors have plans to invest in this initiative.
