Braskem invested 87-million-dollars to expand biopolymer production capacity at its bio-based ethylene plant in Brazil. Today, the plant operates at an increased capacity of 260,000 tons/year from 200,000.

Technip Energies has partnered with John Cockerill to form a new company called Rely. The newly established firm will be 60 % owned by Technip Energies and 40 % owned by John Cockerill and will deliver integrated green hydrogen solutions.

Under a three-year supply agreement, Johnson Matthey will supply membrane electrode assemblies and key performance-defining components for electrolyzers to Hystar for ramping up its green hydrogen production.

Under a long-term agreement, Linde will develop a nine-megawatt alkaline electrolyzer plant on Jurong Island, Singapore in order to produce and supply green hydrogen to Evonik in Singapore. The plant is expected to be the largest electrolyzer ever installed in the country.

Johnson Matthey and Doosan Enerbility have plans to jointly develop integrated solutions for hydrogen-fuelled power plants in South Korea. For this, both the parties are working together to develop a technology that allows the use of low carbon ammonia as a hydrogen source. JM’s ammonia cracking technology and catalyst will be used for the project.

Avina Clean Hydrogen has chosen KBR’s K-Green technology for its U.S.-based green ammonia project. Once complete, the project is expected to produce 2,200 metric tons of green ammonia daily.

Evonik has plans to invest in a pilot electrolyzer at its Herne site in Germany. The project aims to produce green hydrogen as a starting product for isophorone diamine. This new electrolysis technology will also be researched by Siemens for industrial usage.
