Foresight Group has awarded Nextchem with a feasibility study for developing a carbon capture and sustainable methanol synthesis plant in the ETA Manfredonia waste-to-energy plant in Italy. The project aims to valorize about 200 ktonne/year of CO2 currently emitted into the atmosphere by combining it with green hydrogen for the production of sustainable fuel.

Under a MOU signed between both the parties, Thyssenkrupp Uhde and Idesa Industrial Plants Slu (Idip) will work together to develop and fabricate new modular plants for green ammonia projects. Thyssenkrupp Uhde’s ammonia technology will be used for the modular solutions.

With increasing demand from the mobility industry, Linde has plans to expand its green hydrogen production capacity in Ontario, California, USA. For this, the company intends to develop and operate several planned five-megawatt PEM electrolyzers.

Hycc’s green hydrogen project H2ermes is expected to produce 100 MW of green hydrogen in order to reduce emissions from numerous sectors such as steel, aviation, mobility and shipping in the broader Amsterdam region, the Netherlands.

Hycc has chosen Kraftanlagen Energies & Services to carry out the basic design and engineering (Feed) while Nel has been selected for supplying electrolysis stacks to the green hydrogen project H2eron. The project comprising a 40-megawatt plant will be developed in the Netherlands and will support the production of SAF.

The US-based company Wastefuel aims to use proven, scalable technologies to convert bio-based municipal and agricultural waste into lower carbon fuels, such as bio-methanol. With this mega investment, BP has expanded its investment in bioenergy.

OCI Global has partnered with Petrofac for delivering OCI’s programme of gasification-based green methanol projects. The programme aims to support the production of low-carbon feedstock for OCI’s existing methanol facilities.
