Daelim to Expand Highly Reactive Polybutene Plant

Daelim’s Petrochemical Business Division has disclosed its plan to expand its highly reactive polybutene plant. The company intends to expand the annual output of its existing plant, which is located at Yeosu National Industrial Complex, from 65,000 tons to 100,000 tons by November 2016 by investing KRW 74 billion.

International Cooperation Kicks Off MDI Megaplant

Teaming up for China: Together, BASF, Huntsman, Shanghai Hua Yi Group, Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical and Sinopec kicked off the construction of a new 240,000 tons MDI plant at Caojing, China. The facilities will complement existing lines of Shanghai Lianheng Isocyanate at the site, giving it a total 480,000 tons per year capacity.
