BASF is inaugurating a new plant in Yeosu, Korea to strengthen the supply of Ultrason polyarylsulfone, one of the company’s high performance thermoplastics. The new plant, with an annual production capacity of 6,000 metric tons, will better serve the growing market in Asia Pacific.

Under the smart Verbund project, BASF has begun to construct its maiden units which will produce engineering plastics and TPU. The site will comprise the latest technologies as well as highest safety and sustainability standards and falls under the firm’s 10-billion-dollar investment project.
