Siemens Energy and Air Liquide have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the objective to combine their expertise in PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolysis technology. They intend to focus their activities on these key areas: co-creation of large industrial-scale hydrogen projects in collaboration with customers, laying the ground for mass manufacturing of electrolyzers in Europe, especially in Germany and France, and R&D activities to co-develop next generation electrolyzer technologies.

Inox Air Products has won a contract from Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India to build its 5th cryogenic Air Separation Unit at the Hazira plant in Gujarat, India. The 41-million-dollar project is expected to produce 700 TPD of gaseous oxygen and 300 TPD of gaseous nitrogen along with other liquid industrial gases.

With the newly started up air separation units, Linde will supply gaseous oxygen and nitrogen to Wanhua Chemical's integrated chemical site and production center in Yantai, China.

The new unit is Air Products’ maiden cryogenic nitrogen plant in the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, Northern Malaysia. With this project, the company aims to cater to the booming demand from the electrical and electronics and other manufacturing industries in the region.
