Perstorp is working on an innovative project which will assist the company to make use of wastewater from a nearby municipal treatment plant for its production operations in Stenungsund, Sweden. The project is expected to save 1.1 billion liters of fresh water annually.

Ørsted has plans to develop Europe’s largest green fuel production facility for the shipping industry – Flagship One in Sweden. The company has also selected Topsoe for carrying out Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication for the project’s e-methanol technology.

The new world-scale project will be integrated with Aramco and Total’s existing Satorp refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. It will assist the refinery to convert refinery off-gases, naphtha, ethane and natural gasoline into higher value chemicals.

Metso Outotec has bagged a 70-million-euro contract by Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company for delivering two identical sulfuric acid plants for its zinc roasting facility in Almalyk, Uzbekistan. The new units will replace the firm’s existing facilities for gas cleaning and sulfuric acid production at the site.

Plug Power has entered into a strategic relationship with Nikola Corporation to accelerate the hydrogen economy. Under this collaboration, Plug Power will supply green hydrogen to Nikola from January 1, 2023 and Nikola will also purchase a 30 TPD liquefaction system from Plug for its Arizona Hydrogen Hub.
