Sika has inaugurated a new plant for liquid membranes and mortar production in China to strengthen and expand its presence in the region as well as to meet the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable products from the construction industry.

At present, Linde supplies oxygen, nitrogen and argon to Jindal Stainless from its on-site Air Separation Unit at the Kalinganagar Industrial Estate in Odisha, East India. With the expansion announcement, the company will now develop a second air separation unit.

Air Liquide has plans to develop three new plants for supplying ultra-high purity industrial gases to two of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers. The plants are expected to produce a total of up to 2 billion Nm3 per year of ultra-pure nitrogen, oxygen as well as argon and will be operational by 2024.

Air Products has plans to build a green hydrogen production facility in New York, USA. The produced liquid hydrogen is expected to be supplied to the city’s mobility market along with other potential industrial markets. The company is also exploring the feasibility of developing a hydrogen fueling station network in the country.

With a hefty investment of 4-billion-dollars, Air Products and the AES Corporation aim to establish a large-scale green hydrogen production facility in Wilbarger County, Texas, USA. The new plant is expected to produce over 200 metric tons per day of green hydrogen.

Under a MOU, Air Liquide, Chevron, Keppel Infrastructure and Petrochina have formed a consortium to explore the development of large-scale CCUS solutions and integrated infrastructure in Singapore. The project is aimed at supporting the country’s energy and chemicals sector.

Air Liquide has sold its Industrial Merchant Business in Saudi Arabia to Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases & Equipment. With this deal, the company plans to focus on large industries and emerging new opportunities in clean hydrogen and energy transition in the GCC region especially Saudi Arabia.

Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Air Liquide has decided to quit the Russian market which contributes less than 1 % of the Group’s turnover. The company has entered into a MOU with the local management team to systematically transfer its activities in the country through a Management Buy Out.
