Honeywell has successfully purchased Air Products’ LNG Process Technology and Equipment Business for 1.81 billion dollars. The move is in line with Air Products’ goal of focusing on its two-pillar growth strategy to profitably grow its core industrial gases and related equipment businesses, and to deliver clean hydrogen at scale.

Lonza has plans to invest in two additional manufacturing suites in Visp (CH), Switzerland with an aim to expand its bioconjugation capabilities. The new suites are expected to double the company’s multipurpose capacity for the launch and commercial supply of bioconjugates.

Linde has plans to de-captivate two air separation units as well as expand its existing supply of industrial gases to Tata Steel in Odisha, India. Both the ASUs are currently under construction and Linde will supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to Tata Steel under a long-term agreement.

Neste has introduced a co-processed renewable feedstock with an aim to expand its offering for the polymers and chemicals industry. The feedstock boasts of a reduced carbon footprint as compared to conventional fossil feedstocks used in the chemicals industry.

Honeywell’s Ecofining technology has been selected by the St1 Refinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel. The Gothenburg plant is expected to produce 200,000 tons of renewable fuels annually and can utilize flexible feedstocks, including used cooking oil, animal fats, and tall oil fatty acids from paper and pulp mills.

Baker Hughes and the University of California, Berkeley are planning to establish the Baker Hughes Institute for Decarbonization Materials at UC Berkeley’s College of Chemistry. The Institute aims to accelerate the deployment and scaling of cost-effective climate technology solutions.

Under a joint development and cost sharing agreement, Aramco, Total Energies and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company have plans to explore the development of a sustainable aviation unit in Saudi Arabia.

Willis Sustainable Fuels has awarded a master services agreement to Mc Dermott for sustainable aviation fuel facilities in the UK. The scope of the agreement includes early engineering, procurement and construction related services for the facilities.

The ALT-P project is a major collaborative study into alternative approaches to phosphorus removal at rural wastewater treatment works. Led by United Utilities, the project’s findings have been shared across the UK water sector.
