Air Liquide and Holcim have entered into an agreement to decarbonize cement production at Holcim’s cement plant at Obourg in Belgium. For this purpose, a carbon capture project will be developed at the site.

Air Products has been awarded a supply contract from NASA worth more than 140 million dollars. Under this deal, Air Products will provide liquid hydrogen for several NASA facilities including the world’s largest hydrogen sphere at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and other NASA locations.

With an aim to reduce CO2 emissions at its ASU in China and also expand the unit’s oxygen production capacity, Air Liquide has plans to revamp the unit by investing a total amount of 25 million euros.

Under a MOU signed between Air Liquide Singapore and Aster Chemicals and Energy, both the parties will work together to develop an innovative Auto Thermal Reformer unit for the production of hydrogen with integrated carbon capture capabilities in Singapore.

Matheson Tri-Gas has awarded a significant contract to Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group to develop an air separation unit in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new project is expected to produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon in order to meet the increasing demand for liquid gases in the medical, fabrication, construction, and food processing industries across Nevada, California, Utah, and Arizona.

Clariant has collaborated with Vertimass to accelerate the development and commercialization of Vertimass’ bio-based alcohol to liquid fuel conversion technology. The technology enables the catalytic conversion of sustainable methanol, ethanol, and other alcohols into liquid fuels that are compatible with existing vehicles and aircraft.

Under a 20-year on-site gas supply agreement signed between Inoxap and Premier Energies, Inoxap will install and commission a cryogenic Air Separation Unit. The new unit is expected to supply 7000 nm3/h of gaseous nitrogen of 5N grade, 250 nm3/h of ultra-high purity gaseous oxygen of 6N grade, along with some additional liquid products to Premier Energies’ solar cell greenfield manufacturing facility in India.
