The new compressed biogas plant will be set up at Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, India and will use Praj’s Rengas technology to produce compressed biogas (CBG) from rice straw. The project is expected to process 35000 MT of rice straw as feedstock in order to generate 5250 MT of CBG every year.

Praj Industries’ 2G ethanol technology – Enfinity has been chosen by Omega Energy and Lasuca Sugar to produce ethanol and other co-products at the US bio-refinery. The mega project is expected to produce 10-15 million gallons of ethanol and additional co-products per year.
Praj has entered into a binding agreement for cost sharing with Indian Oil Corporation on December 7, 2016 to set up one plant each at Panipat, Haryana and Dahej, Gujarat. These 2nd Generation (2G) bio-ethanol plants will have capacity to produce 100 Kilo litres of ethanol per day.
