Scotland: Plant Maintenance Pharma Firm GSK Awards 18 Million Dollar Contract to Bilfinger
Under the terms of the three-year contract, Bilfinger will provide electrical and instrumentation installation as well as access, insulation and painting services to GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK) production facilities in Montrose, Scotland.

Mannheim/Germany – Bilfinger has secured an 18-million-dollar project and maintenance contract with multinational pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for its production facilities in Montrose, Scotland. The three-year contract, which has an option for a further two-year extension, will be booked under Bilfinger’s Engineering & Maintenance Europe segment and has commenced at the end of July 2021.
The agreement will see the subsidiary Bilfinger UK provide electrical and instrumentation installation (E&I) as well as access, insulation and painting services. Over 40 Bilfinger employees will work on-site in Montrose, where GSK manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients for a diverse portfolio of HIV, Respiratory and Corticosteroid medical products.
