SPX's new Novados H8 pumps use the well-established Bran+Luebbe hydraulically actuated pump heads that offer proven performance and reliability.
Diaphragm pumps are widely used in the oil and gas industry across much of the supply chain for pumping fluids and injecting chemicals using hermetic seals to prevent leaks. This style of pump is ideal for both optimizing the use of chemicals and ensuring safe operation in high flow, high pressure applications such as methanol or LDHI injection, hydrocarbon condensate duty, glycol injection, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) polymer injection or reactor feeding processes. They provide precise injection of chemicals and can handle aggressive and harmful fluids safely.
The new Novados H8 pumps use the well-established Bran+Luebbe hydraulically actuated pump heads that offer proven performance and reliability. They are suitable for installation in potentially hazardous atmospheres and come with a choice of diaphragm materials that can handle flow rates up to 15 m3/h or pressures up to 1000 bar. PTFE diaphragm material is used for pressures below 500 bar and metallic diaphragms in the range of 500-1000 bar. The metallic diaphragms also enable the safe pumping of fluids that might diffuse through PTFE.
Improved Double Diaphragm Design
The double diaphragm technology used by the Novados H8 pump has been proven to produce the correct quality of fluid through the precise injection of chemicals. This efficient handling and use of products offers the potential to lower raw material costs for a process. When used with the addition of the double acting double diaphragm pump head, a single Novados H8 pump can handle the flow requirements of duplex, single acting equivalent.
The new Novados H8 pump offers enhancements. It has a one-piece gear housing which makes the unit more robust with improved stability. It further has an improved lubrication system that requires no external oil piping or additional oil pump, thereby simplifying installation and maintenance requirements. The enhanced lubrication this system provides additionally extends the life of the pump.
As part of the Novados H range, the Novados H8 pump is designed to be easily combined with other pumps from the range. The flexibility of this series is extensive and, with the new H8, SPX can now combine seven different gear types within up to five different pumping streams to meet an extensive range of flow rates and pressure requirements.
