Technology Licensing in China New Polycarbonate–Plant off the Chinese Coast to Utilize EPC Technology

Dayushan/PR China – Zhejiang Petroleum and Chemical plans the 2nd phase of its polycarbonate project located on Dayushan Island off the Coast of China, halfway between Ningbo and Shanghai. The Chinese basic chemicals and refining company has thus licensed the Variplant polycarbonate technology of German engineering and technologies provider EPC: The scope of supply includes the technology license, the extended process design package and the supply of proprietary equipment. Upon completion in 2021, the 2nd phase project will add another 260 kta polycarbonate production capacity to phase 1 which is already under construction.
