How the Right Analytical Methods put Process Analytics on the Fast Track

With conventional oxygen analysers, such as paramagnetic analysis devices or zirconium oxide probes, various difficulties are encountered. These include interferences, dust deposits and dampness. TDL analysers deliver very specific measurements and have outstandingly fast response times and minimal maintenance requirements. A further development of conventional laser technology, in which transmitter and receiver units are separated spatially, are TDLs in a sensor design. Here transmitter and receiver are located together in the spectrometer head, with the laser beam reflected through 180° by means of a corner cube module. This design offers valuable advantages compared to transversely mounted TDLs: alignment of the flange is no longer necessary. With its compact single-flange construction, installation is very fast and simple, and it is also possible, because of the double optical path, to build it into small-diameter tubes, such as DN100.
