Solubility of Collagen Hydrolysate - Spray Drying vs. Glatt Spray Granulation
Excellent solubility of collagen hydrolysate! Comparison of powders made from the same raw material, one produced by spray agglomeration + spray granulation in a continuously operating multi-chamber fluidized bed system from Glatt and one by spray drying in a conventional spray tower. 'Spray drying versus spray granulation – desired product properties make the difference' Which process is better? If liquid starting materials are to be converted into bulk solids, both spray drying and spray granulation in the fluidized bed are used. The choice of the optimal technology depends on which particle properties need to be adjusted to enable the specific applications. Drying solids-laden liquids converts products into a more easily manageable form and makes them storable at ambient temperatures. The resulting bulk solids are not only more stable than the starting material, but also have a lower weight and volume, which reduces transport and storage costs as well as handling effort.
