GAIL (India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Oil Company of Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). Under the MoU, GAIL and SOCAR intend to jointly pursue LNG opportunities through capacity booking, LNG procurement and promotion of LNG projects globally.
Gail (India) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sumitomo Corporation, Japan. Under the MOU, GAIL and Sumitomo will pursue business opportunities in natural gas and LNG value chain business globally, specifically covering cooperation in petrochemicals, natural gas procurement, pipelines and LNG.
GAIL Gas Ltd and Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand the Natural Gas downstream distribution network in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In a landmark development to expand the natural gas footprint in eastern India, GAIL (India) Limited signed a Gas Cooperation Agreement (GCA) for Natural Gas Infrastructure and City Gas Distribution with the Department of Industries of the Government of Bihar.
GAIL has signed a terminal service agreement with Dominion through GAIL Global (USA) LNG LLC for booking 2.3 mmtpa liquefaction capacity in the Cove Point LNG liquefaction terminal project located at Lusby in the state of Maryland. Dominion would be setting up the liquefaction facilities in the premises of its existing 11.7 mmtpa regasification terminal.
GAIL has recently commissioned the Dabhol LNG terminal located at Ratnagiri, Maharashtra around 340 km south of Mumbai. The Dabhol LNG terminal would serve as a gateway for entry of natural gas to the southern and western parts of the country.
GAIL India has expressed interest in buying a stake in RGTIL (Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Limited ). When asked about the same, the Chairman and Managing Director BC Tripathi stated that gas transmission is their core business and that they are evaluating the opportunities.
