A throwback to a trade show that made one thing clear: the future of aseptic technology is contactless, data-driven, and within reach. At CPHI 2025 in Frankfurt, it became obvious where pharmaceutical production is headed. Where gloves used to be mandatory in isolators, robots, AI, and contactless systems are now taking over – more precise, safer, and more sustainable than ever before.
Trade fair season is always a whirlwind: packed halls, tightly scheduled meetings, the latest industry gossip – and in between, a cup of champagne while discussing industry trends. CPHI Frankfurt 2025 impressively demonstrated the direction in which pharmaceutical production is moving: gloveless aseptic technology, robotics, AI-supported inspection, contactless transport systems, small-batch flexibility, and sustainable secondary packaging.
Aseptics Reimagined: Zero Losses are the Goal, Validation is the Watchword
Robotics and automation dominated the aseptic section of the trade fair. Particularly striking was the clear commitment of manufacturers to validated, human-free processes.
