A significant milestone for the European industry: AMG Lithium has successfully commissioned Europe’s first lithium hydroxide refinery. This pioneering plant marks an important step towards a more sustainable and independent battery raw material supply, especially for the electric vehicle and energy storage industry.

We at EPC Engineering & Technologies are particularly proud to have made a significant contribution to this success as general contractor. With our many years of experience and expertise in plant construction, we were able to support the project from the planning stage through to implementation and turnkey handover. Special thanks are due to our colleagues at EPC, our sister company HI-Bauprojekt GmbH and all the companies involved in this project.

Lithium hydroxide is a key raw material for the production of high-performance batteries and plays a key role in the energy transition. The refinery is therefore not only an important factor for European industry, but also a decisive step towards environmentally friendly mobility and a greener future.
