Frankfurt/Germany – In a press conference Tuesday, Allgaier’s Christian Watzelt explained that these dryers are scalable for different operating capacities, as users can add or remove disks and choose from two disk diameters. Wastewater treatment and pigment processing are among the applications that will benefit from the CD Dryer, said Watzelt. CD Dryers also boast a more compact equipment footprint when compared to drum dryers. On the digital side, the company has developed the new Process App.

Users can install this app on their smartphone and scan a specific QR code on a piece of installed Allgaier equipment, enabling easy access to a “digital twin” of the equipment. Users can not only view relevant manuals, certificates and smart drawings associated with the equipment, they can also order required spare parts directly from the app. The app also provides a direct contact channel to local service centers. Currently, the app is offered for Allgaier tumbler screening machines, but it's planned to expand the app to include more equipment, as well as additional functionality for measurements.
