The chemical group Dow has received three innovation awards from the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) for breakthrough technologies. The awarded technologies comprise a novel kind of heat cure silicone, a neutral curing silicone for the bonding of glass, metal and building components as well as a disruptive technology for a new generation of wind blades.
The LP Oxo Selector 10 Technology has been selected by Guangxi Huayi New Material Company to produce butanol at a new manufacturing plant located at the firm’s integrated petrochemical complex in China. The new facility is expected to have a butanol capacity of 300,000 metric tonnes every year.
Dow announced an agreement with the Fuenix Ecogy Group from the Netherlands for the supply of pyrolysis oil feedstock, which is made from recycled plastic waste. The feedstock will be used to produce new polymers at the chemical group's production facilities at Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
