Dorf Ketal Chemicals India, a Mumbai–based global leader in specialty chemicals, has acquired Filtra Catalysts and Chemicals. Filtra is a leading producer of adsorbents and catalysts for downstream hydrocarbon industries such as oil refineries, petrochemicals and fertilizer plants with headquarters in Thane, India.

Mumbai/India - In addition, Filtra also specializes in coatings for electrical and steel sectors plus manufacturing a range of specialty chemicals for various industries. Dorf Ketal currently offers Process Additives to the downstream hydrocarbon industry and Filtra’s acquisition is seen as a strategic fit to increase the Dorf Ketal offering to their current customer base. Dorf Ketal is known to increase R&D focus in all its ventures and will focus on driving product innovation to meet market needs.

Dorf Ketal, in the past has successfully acquired and integrated a catalyst business based on organo-metallic catalysts and cross-linkers.
