Yokohama/Japan – Chiyoda Corporation has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Eneos Corporation for a large-scale Direct Methylcyclohexane electrosynthesis (Direct MCH) demonstration plant.

This demonstration was conducted as part of Green Innovation Fund Projects of Large-scale Hydrogen Supply Chain Establishment / Direct MCH electrosynthesis technology development commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (Nedo).

The plant aims to identify obstacles for future social implementation of Green MCH production technology and will be equipped with a large-scale Direct MCH electrolyzer developed by Eneos. Through this project, Chiyoda will support early implementation which is key to realizing a carbon neutral society.
