Frankfurt am Main/Germany — Mack-Brooks Exhibitions has announced that Chemspec Europe 2021, which was scheduled to take place May 19 to 20, 2021, at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center, has been postponed. The 35th International Trade Fair for Fine and Specialty Chemicals will instead be held from September 29 to 30, 2021, in an expanded format that combines the on-site show with an online platform. The decision was made in light of the current Covid 19 pandemic.

Ongoing uncertainties surrounding travel restrictions and event planning by authorities have prompted organizers to reassess the situation. Accordingly, it was decided to hold the show in September 2021. With the rapid expansion of vaccination programs on a global scale, as well as the implementation of Chemspec Europe as a hybrid event, Liljana Goszdziewski, portfolio director of Chemspec Europe, expressed confidence in hosting a successful show for visitors and exhibitors this year.

For the first time, Chemspec Europe will be held as a hybrid event. This expanded format combines the show's established on-site program with interactive, digital networking opportunities. Visitors will have the opportunity to find customized solutions both in person and online, meet the industry and gain useful insights into research and development.

More information on participation possibilities, as well as general updates on Chemspec Europe 2021 and announcements on the new hybrid format, are to be released on the show website and its social media channels over the coming months.
