Germany: Ultrapure Monochloroacetic Acid Cabb Invests Millions in Production and Storage Capacities

The Cabb Group has earmarked an investment figure well into the double-digit million dollar range for expanding its production and storage capacities by the end of 2019. The company plans to further build on its global position as a producer of ultrapure monochloroacetic acid.

Sulzbach/Germany — Work will focus on the Gersthofen and Knapsack sites in Germany. The manufacturer serves a broad spectrum of specialty chemicals customers, supplying monochloroacetic acid and derivatives from its sites in Germany and China.

Carsten W. Woerner, General Manager of Business Unit Acetyls, said that the goal of this investment was to offer an even higher degree of flexibility and reliability to their customers worldwide. Valerie Diele-Braun, who took over as CEO at the end of August, added that the company wants to continue to build on the positive trend seen at their Acetyls business unit and expand their global footprint.
