In recent projects, the rotor shredder has proven itself particularly in applications such as waste incineration ash (WBA) and electronic scrap, light metal scrap, and bleach processing. As a technology leader in the recycling of metal-containing composites and industrial waste, BHS relies on continuous development. Customers' practical experience from various applications has been incorporated into the latest generation of the rotor shredder. Based on this, the machine has now been specifically optimized.

The BHS Rotorshredder optimally shreds, separates, and breaks down metal-containing valuable, residual, and composite materials. The shredding tools intensively process the feed material through impact, percussion, and shear forces. The result is selective disruption: Composite materials are separated, and the piece sizes are specifically reduced and exposed for subsequent sorting.

The grate has been made more solid and features a different opening layout. This makes the machine more wear-resistant and easier to maintain, shares the company. A second optimization concerns the contaminant slide. BHS has adapted it so that contaminants can be discharged from the machine even more smoothly through a larger gap. The company has further developed the stability of the rotor shredder specifically for particularly abrasive materials. The control sequence for heavy part detection has also been significantly improved and has already proven itself in use with waste incineration bottom ash and electronic scrap, to the full satisfaction of its customers.

Overall, the rotor shredder achieves ideal output results for a wide variety of different feed materials, which customers repeatedly confirm at the test center, adds the firm.

In addition to electronic scrap, the feed materials include motor armatures and electric motors (so-called "meatballs"), aluminum scrap, automotive shredder residual fractions (ASR), waste incineration scrap, and waste incineration bottom ash, as well as light metal scrap, such as that generated in MBT (mechanical-biological waste treatment) and DSD (lightweight packaging) sorting plants.

The new generation of rotor shredders impresses with its robustness, uncomplicated maintenance, and versatile application possibilities, concludes the company.
