The planning of process plants for the production of chemical and petrochemi-cal products is often complex. Precise and comprehensive scheduling is the only way to ensure that the plants are completed on time and within budget.

The new manual on scheduling in plant engineering provides a detailed over-view of the structure of schedules as well as the various methods and tech-niques for creating the necessary accompanying documents. The scheduling activities are systematically described in the order of the classic project cycle: from planning and procurement through assembly and installation to the com-missioning of a plant.
