The WLAN modules feature a robust metal housing, high resistance to vibration and shock, a wide operating temperature range (–20°C to 55°C), and support for IEEE 802.11 i-conform security standards, the highest yet available. Despite their robust construction, the modules have a stylish appearance that allows them to be used in public areas such as lobbies and conference rooms as well as on the factory floor and in warehouses. The FL WLAN product line comprises a standard access point, a dual access point with two radio interfaces, and an Ethernet client adapter that allows any Ethernet-capable device to be connected to the wireless network. The power source options are 24 V DC, Power over Ethernet (PoE, as defined by IEEE 802.3af), and 230 V AC.
