The Advantage 1.0 is certified for the use in explosion hazardous zone 1/21 in accordance with ATEX directive 94/9/EC. The device is a very robust, dust-and waterproof industry mobile phone, according to IP 68. Its rugged design withstands drops from 2 meters height. Weighing only 180 grams, the Advantage 1.0 is well suited for on–site uses in harsh and rough conditions, the manufacturer states.
Its 3G technology allows data transfer over UMTS and increases accessibility, while data transfer to the internet or networks can be achieved with the WiFi function. The unit can even serve as a hot spot for other devices.
The battery provides up to 300 hours standby time and up to 5.5 hours of talk time and can be completely recharged in around 3.5 hours. The phone can be used in the temperature range from -20 to 60 ° Celsius.
The device includes additional functions such as an FM radio with external antenna via Earphone, calculator, world time, alarm and stopwatch and is available in most major languages. A 2 megapixel camera allows the user to take pictures in Ex-zone 1/21 environments.
