According to recent figures by Frost & Sullivan, the growing market for waste combustion in Europe achieved turnovers of around US $ 4.22 billion – and that's only the beginning: A total market volume of US $ 4.94 billion is likely, the analysts predict. Despite the good perspective, high initial costs are sometimes hampering investments, as well as public protests against waste combustion plants. New facilities with better efficiency and less potentially harmful emissions could help to turn the tide in favour of such solutions, Frost & Sullivan believes.
