Polyethylene US Startup Plans Four–Billion–Dollars Polyethylene Plant

Badlands NGL is currently raising money and looking for partners with which to build an all new US $ 4 billion polyethylene in North Dakota. The project would be the largest private investment in the history of the state, local authorities say.

Bismarck, North Dakota/USA – Badlands plan is to cash in on the local abundancy of LNG from shales to produce up to 1.5 million tons of polyethylene per year. So far, Badlands has found partners in Spanish petrochemical specialists Tecnicas Reunidas and US project developer Vinmar. With support from the government of North Dakota, preliminary works on site could be finished this year, including evaluation, engineering planning and site selection.
