Honeywell UOP has been selected by Hengyi Industries to provide advanced reforming and aromatics technologies to its integrated petrochemical complex in Pulau Muara Besar, Brunei. With this move, the company aims to further expand its aromatics plant and cater to the rising demand for paraxylene in the region.
Under the terms of the agreement, Honeywell UOP will provide several vital technology licenses, engineering design, important equipment and many other related services to Shandong Yulong’s aromatics complex in China.
Honeywell UOP’s acid gas removal technology including the Memguard and Separex systems have been selected for Petronas Carigali’s 900 mmscfd offshore gas purification unit in the Kasawari gas field, offshore Malaysia.
The Honeywell Forge Process Advisor solution will be used by the oil and gas firm Pertamina at its Cilacap refinery in Indonesia to optimise its operations, improve profitability and reduce production downtimes.
Zhejiang Petrochemical has selected Honeywell’s Polybed pressure swing adsorption units to supply high-purity hydrogen for the mega petrochemical complex which is currently in its second phase. On completion, the project is also expected to be one of the largest crude-to-chemicals complexes in the world.
PKN Orlen will make use of UOP’s Q-Max and Phenol 3G technologies for its Poland-based phenol unit. The facility is expected to produce 200,000 metric tonnes of phenol annually. UOP will also provide a cumene unit and a phenol unit with alpha methyl styrene hydrogenation to the project.
Altus Midstream’s Diamond Central cryogenic gas processing complex in Texas, USA marks the first global use of the Ortloff SRX technology from Honeywell UOP. The technology is capable of recovering natural gas liquids from feed gas.
Shandong Binhua New Material Co. has selected Honeywell UOP’s C3 Oleflex technology to produce 600,000 metric tonnes per year of polymer-grade propylene at its new China facility. Honeywell will also provide services, equipment, catalysts as well as adsorbents for the unit.
Dayuewan (Zhuhai) Petrochemical Co. will utilise a range of technologies from Honeywell for upgrading heavy fuel oil into higher value petrochemical products at its Guangdong complex in China. Honeywell is also responsible for basic engineering, technology licensing as well technical and start-up services for Dayuewan’s project.
