Dahej/India – The original Dahej Terminal with a capacity of 5 million tons per year was awarded in 2000 to a consortium consisting of current IHI Corporation, Toyo, Itochu and Mitsui. The site was the first LNG receiving terminal in India. In 2006, a consortium of IHI and Toyo received an order again to expand the receiving capacity. To meet the growing demand of natural gas for electricity and fertilizer, more than 10 additional LNG import terminals are now planned to be built in India. Toyo will actively develop its business activities in India, striving to receive orders related to these LNG receiving terminal projects.
