Paris/France, Teheran/Iran – The meeting between Rouhani and Pouyanné was followed the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Total and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) as well as framework agreement for the purchase of crude oil, in particular for French and European refineries.

Pouyanné told the press that under the agreement, Total would buy between between 150,000 to 200,000 barrels of Iranian crude every day. To establish possible follow up-projects, NIOC will provide the technical data on some gas and oil projects, so that Total can assess potential developments in Iran.
